In Linyi Client News On May 9, the Information Office of Linyi Municipal People's Government held the press conference of the fourth RCEP Regional (Shandong) Import Commodities Fair and the third Linyi Mall International Purchasing Conference of the "the Belt and Road". Sun Deshi, a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Municipal People's Government and the deputy mayor of Linyi City, introduced the relevant information of the two exhibitions. The main leaders of the Municipal Bureau of Commerce and the Linyi Mall Management Committee answered questions from reporters on the relevant information.
Recently, with the approval of the Shandong Provincial Government, the 4th RCEP Regional (Shandong) Import Commodities Expo is scheduled to be held in our city from June 27th to 29th. This expo is hosted by the People's Government of Linyi City and the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, and organized by the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, the Linyi Shopping Mall Management Committee, and the People's Government of Lanshan District. The Expo, with the theme of "innovation, openness, and integration", breaks the traditional concept of holding "one exhibition" and is committed to becoming a "platform for opening up to the outside world, a scene to boost consumption, a carrier for economic and trade docking, and a battlefield for the integration of domestic and foreign trade". The expo focuses on showcasing high-quality imported goods and trade connections, with a focus on showcasing Linyi elements, and will set up a "3+N" exhibition area. '3' refers to the use of exhibition halls 1, 2, and 3 at Linyi International Expo Center, with a total of 11 indoor exhibition areas and 1 multifunctional area, covering an exhibition area of 35000 square meters, equivalent to 1200 international standard booths; “N”， Set up N professional market exhibition areas in Linyi International Trade Center, Lanhua Import Commodity City, Huafeng International Trade City, Hotel Supplies City, International Food City, Duoduobao and other professional wholesale markets in Linyi Mall.
During the Expo, a "1+10" model will be followed to set up 10 supporting activities, including the opening ceremony, the 8th CIIE roadshow, guest country promotion, "International Friendship City Gathering for CIIE", "Investment in Linyi" industry docking, "Ten Thousand Enterprises Going Global and Shandong Trade Global" precise procurement docking and Shandong Australia economic and trade docking, international investment cooperation exchange, "International Buyers Entering the Mall and Enterprises", internet celebrity live streaming product selection fair, "Hospitality Shandong · Fashion Linyi" cultural and tourism promotion, "Taste Linyi" time-honored brand · Food promotion, etc., to comprehensively enhance the internationalization and professionalization level of the Expo.
Since the RCEP agreement came into effect, regional cooperation has continued to deepen. In 2024, our city achieved a total import and export value of 78.65 billion yuan to RCEP countries, a year-on-year increase of 9.7%. In the first quarter of this year, imports and exports reached 18.495 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.8%. Next, our city will continue to implement the "Hundred Regiments, Thousand Enterprises, Shopping Mall Going Global" action, continuously expanding economic and trade exchanges and strategic cooperation with RCEP countries.
In order to respond to the national "the Belt and Road" initiative, deeply integrate into the new development pattern of domestic and international double circulation, and accelerate the pace of internationalization of the mall, our city will hold the third Linyi Mall International Purchaser Conference of the "the Belt and Road" from October 18 to 20. The theme of this conference is "Gathering Linyi Mall to Catch up with China's Great Gathering", hosted by the People's Government of Linyi City, and guided and supported by units such as the China International Chamber of Commerce, the International Trade and Economic Cooperation Research Institute of the Ministry of Commerce, and the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce.
The conference will have a main venue and several special sessions, inviting over 1000 representatives from international business associations and international buyers to participate and negotiate with production enterprises and market merchants in our city. On the morning of October 19th, we held main venue activities, including awarding and project signing ceremonies, international procurement docking negotiations, etc. The five districts will focus on characteristic advantageous industries such as hardware and labor protection, home building materials, cultural and sports supplies, daily necessities, and small commodities, and set up special economic and trade docking activities to achieve precise docking between the mall supply chain and the global procurement chain.
2025 is a crucial year for promoting the internationalization of online shopping malls, as well as a year of tackling challenges.
