The countdown to the opening of the third RCEP Regional (Shandong) Import Expo (hereinafter referred to as RCEP Expo) has entered on August 18th. On the 14th, reporters saw at the 35000 square meter exhibition hall that the construction of various exhibition areas is in full swing, and the construction work will be fully completed on the evening of the 16th. At that time, tens of thousands of famous products from 56 countries will gather together, and domestic and foreign merchants will gather here to display and trade.
With the attention and support of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, the Organizing Committee of the Third RCEP Expo has established 6 special working groups and 8 supporting activity groups. Six special working groups, including the Municipal Government Office, the Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department, the Municipal Public Security Bureau, the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and the Linyi Mall Management Committee, have led the refinement of work plans in Lanshan District, clarifying specific responsibilities, and promoting efficient and orderly preparation work. As of now, the investment promotion work and exhibition area design work have all been completed, attracting over 1000 categories and 10000 products from 56 countries, including imported intelligent electronic devices, new energy, healthcare, branded cars, maternal and child health, food and beverage, daily cosmetics, e-commerce logistics, etc., with over 90% of imported products. The construction of the exhibition area officially started on the evening of August 12th. As of the morning of August 14th, 80% of the construction of the exhibition area has been completed in Hall 1, while 50% has been completed in Hall 2 and Hall 3. It is planned to fully complete the construction of the exhibition area on the evening of August 16th. The special decoration rate of this year's Expo will reach 100%, with a green construction rate exceeding 70%.
This Expo attracted 536 exhibitors, including 11 of the world's top 500 enterprises, including Nestle Group, Chia Tai Group, Metro AG, FedEx, JD, Amazon. Recently, Shandong Port Group set up special booth. At present, the exhibitors cover production, sales, trade, logistics, cross-border e-commerce and other types, basically covering the import industry chain. Established 17 national pavilions including Vietnam, Australia, South Korea, Japan, Russia, and the United Kingdom, as well as 4 city pavilions including Junpu and Busan, including 6 RCEP national pavilions and 11 other national pavilions. The number of Fortune 500 enterprises and national pavilions has significantly increased compared to the previous two sessions.
This Expo has increased the invitation efforts for buyers, especially overseas buyers. While organizing invitations for 38 domestic procurement teams in Jiangsu, Hebei and other provinces, it has successfully invited more than 200 overseas procurement teams from Pakistan Procurement Service Center, Japan and South Korea, Mongolia, and Russia to participate in the Expo. It is expected that the number of visitors to this Expo will exceed 30000.
This year's exhibition has a high standard and has invited diplomats from embassies and consulates in China such as Australia, Vietnam, Malaysia, South Korea, and Thailand to participate. Relevant officials from Vietnam's Trade Promotion Bureau, South Korea's Small and Medium sized Enterprise Revitalization Association, China Malaysia Chamber of Commerce, and other institutions stationed in China will also attend the exhibition.
